One Person Killed After Being Hit By Construction Vehicle

A collision with a construction vehicle in the downtown area has left one woman dead.

Greater Sudbury Police say the incident happened just after 2 o’clock this afternoon at the intersection of Elgin and Beech Streets.

Police haven’t released much information, but say investigators have shut down several roads to allow for the investigation.

They include…Beech St. at Frood Rd, Ste. Anne Road at Elgin, Elgin at Elm and Durham at Beech Street.

Reports from the scene say a woman using a walker was hit by a construction grader.
