The Sudbury and District Health Unit have confirmed a second human case of West Nile Virus.

This is just the fourth case since 2006 but second this year.

Late Summer is typically when West Nile is at it’s strongest because mosquitos carry higher levels of the virus and people may not be as prone to protect themselves from bugs.

Symptoms of West Nile virus can range from mild to severe, and include fever, head and body aches, mild rash, and swollen glands. If serious symptoms come on, seek medical attention.
