Ontario Provincial Police will be stressing seat belt safety during the upcoming Easter long weekend.

Over the past five years a total of 332 people have died in collisions on O-P-P patrolled roads as a result of not wearing a seatbelt.

Sgt. Crystal Jones says it only takes a few seconds to buckle up, but those seconds could save your life.

Drivers are reminded they are responsible to make sure everyone in their vehicle are buckled up including young children.

A properly installed child safety seat can reduce the risk of serious injury or death by as much as 75-percent.
