Young Boy Taken To Hospital After Being Hit By Car

An 11-year old boy has been taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries after he was struck by a vehicle along Regional Road 15 yesterday.

Greater Sudbury Police say the boy was walking along the side of the road between Chelmsford and Blezzard Valley at around 3:30 pm when he was hit.

The road was closed until about 7 pm.

No further details have been released, although there were witnesses to the collision.

The reports at first said the boy was hit after getting off a school bus, but police say that the school bus driver was a witness to the collision and stopped in the area.
