This is Education Week and the theme this year is “Achieving Excellence – Promoting Well-Being”.

Director of Education for the Rainbow District School Board Norm Blaseg says they’re taking the opportunity to celebrate teaching excellence, student achievement and parental involvement.

Included in the week is the Stand Up, Speak Out Conference taking place today and tomorrow at the Cambrian College Student Centre.

The goal of the conference is to nurture leadership skills for high school students.
