Sudbury's M-P-P Wants a Week in February to be Eating Disorders Awareness Week

Sudbury M-P-P Glenn Thibeault is looking for support for his Private Member’s Bill to end stigmas around eating disorders.

Thibeault stood at Queen’s Park Thursday for second reading of Bill 189, a bill if passed would recognize the first week in February in Ontario Eating Disorders Awareness Week.

Thibeault says when helping some one with a mental illness, breaking down barriers will goes a long way.

Studies show that 10% of people diagnosed with anorexia will die within 10 years of their diagnosis.
