A former track coach and a local sprinter have both been charged in historical sexual assault incidents.

Sudbury Police began investigating in January of this year and then in February charged 27-year old Celine Loyer and 54-year old David Case of sexual assaults that allegedly happened in 2009 and 2011.

Case was a former Canadian sprinter who went to the University of South Dakota and then later coached a number of local track athletes.

Loyer is a former Sudbury sprinter who was coached by Case.
