Did you go and see it? How many “lightsabers” out of 10 do you give it?
Disney and Lucasfilm’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story claimed the #1 spot at the box office this weekend my opening to $155 million during its debut weekend. In doing so, the film delivered the third-largest opening of 2016 and became only the second December opener to debut over $100 million behind last year’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Meanwhile, Disney’s Moana landed in a distant second place by bringing in an additional $11.6 million and Office Christmas Party finished in third with $8.45 million. Collateral Beauty held the #4 spot with a less-than-impressive $7 million and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them rounded out the top five by earning $5 million.
