Nike has revealed plans to release a limited number of its Back to the Future-inspired self-lacing shoes to the public via an online lottery. According to ESPN, 89 pairs of the Nike Mag shoes will be available through an online lottery that began yesterday. Four additional pairs will be auctioned off in Hong Kong, London and New York during the next five weeks. Those interested in entering the drawing must donate $10, which will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation to fight for a cure to Parkinson’s disease. Nike previously raised $5.7 million for Fox’s foundation in 2011 by auctioning 1,500 pairs of Air MAGS that didn’t self-lace. Winners for the current North American raffle will be announced on October 17.
