The city is reorganizing some of it’s senior staff as it looks to find 6 million dollars in savings before the 2016 budget.

The reorganization will also accommodate the temporary assignment of Catherine Matheson to the North-East LHIN for two years, and maximize operational efficiency.

CAO Doug Nadorozny says staff will take on their new roles right away.

Among the organizational shifts are Tim Beadman, who will become GM of Health Social and Emergeny Service for two years, while Trevor Bain takes over the role of Chief of Fire and Paramedic Services.

The City will post internally post for a vacancy for the position of General Manager, Citizen and Leisure Services, with the posting open for two weeks.

Acting General Manager of Growth and Development Paul Baskcomb is appointed to the position of General Manager of Growth and Development.

Environmental Services will move from the Growth and Development Department to Infrastructure Services under the leadership of Tony Cecutti General Manager of Infrastructure Services.

Transit and Fleet Services will move from Infrastructure Services, and Asset Services will move from Growth and Development, to the leadership of Lorella Hayes, who’s new title will be General Manager of Finance, Transit, Assets and Chief Financial Officer.

And Caroline Hallsworth will head up By-Law Enforcement to be alligned with Provincial Offenses and Corporate Security, moving from Growth and Development to Court Services and Corporate Security.

Nadorozny says opinions vary on the diffuculty in finding the savings,
