While most don’t seem to be in favour of the early election call…the local candidates are getting their teams in place for the 11 week campaign.

Elections Canada confirmed yesterday that the by-election for Sudbury has been cancelled and instead will be rolled into the general election on October 19th.

The Liberals will be represented by local businessman Paul Lefebvre who says it’s time to move on from the nonsense that has happened in the riding in the past.

Lefebvre says he’s looking forward to getting out and meeting the people of Sudbury.

Lefebvre will be going up against Conservative Fred Slade, Green Party candidate David Robinson and Paul Loewenberg of the -ND-P.
