It’s difficult to sit here in a peaceful country and imagine what is going on in Eastern Europe right now, but for many Ukrainians right here in Sudbury, they’ve lived through it before and can’t believe it’s happening again.  I know you want to help.  This Saturday night at the Caruso is an event to raise money for the victims of war in Ukraine. Bill McElree is organizing the Absolute Charity Gala for Ukraine.  it is going to be a very memorable night featuring an interview via video from a young woman from Kiev who’s life was just like yours and mine until just weeks ago when the Russian forces ravaged her hometown.

I interviewed Bill for the story behind the event.
