Interview: Sudbury's Kyle Davidson From Working The Rink In Sudbury To Assistant GM Of The Chicago Blackhawks

Sudbury’s Kyle Davidson is only in his 30’s but his career behind the scenes in the NHL now spans over a decade.

Nick Liard had a chance to speak with Davidson as the NHL works on a return to play plan.

Recently he was promoted to Assistant General Manager of Hockey Operations for the Chicago Blackhawks a vital role in a prestigious organization.

But he tells us about how he got his start as a volunteer at the Sudbury arena like many young hockey players and fans, he may have slight shot a T-shirt your way, he helped out with video review and he would blow up the giant inflatable Wolves head.

His journey from the Greater Sudbury Community Arena to Laurentian University all the way to the NHL winning two Stanley Cup rings and hoisting the cup is an inspiring one and he had some advice for people across the country who might be doing what he did in Sudbury.

We also asked him if he still checks in on the Sudbury Wolves.
