Sudbury’s Shaft Bottom Boys are heading underground early Saturday, March 7th to try and break a Guinness World Record for Deepest Concert Performed Below the Earth’s Crust.

The record actually resided here in Sudbury for a few weeks in 2007 when Confederation Secondary School’s Evolutionary Band performed st the 3,400 level of Inco’s Copper Cliff North Mine. Mell Dahl broadcast from underground for that huge event, but alas, the record was broken shortly after by a band in Finland who went to the 4,169 foot level of a mine there.

This time, The Shaft Bottom Boys are confident there record will stand. The Boys were in the studio with Mell & Chris to talk about their Guinness World Record attempt.
