Public Health Sudbury and Districts issued a news release late Monday night saying there was a confirmed case of Heptatits A at the Real Canadian Superstore on Lasalle and anyone who ate clerk prepared deli or cheese from the store between November 27th and December 16th might be at risk.

Clinics with free vaccinations will run every day this week until Sunday with times and more information posted on the health units website.

Who qualifies for free vaccination?
Anyone who in the last 14 days consumed the food items—purchased between November 27 and 1:30 p.m. December 16—is strongly recommended to get vaccinated for hepatitis A.

Individuals who ate the foods more than 14 days ago are advised to contact Public Health, monitor their health for signs and symptoms, and follow up with their health care provider if symptoms develop.

Any affected food that was purchased during this time period should be discarded or returned to the point of purchase. This food should not be eaten.
