What an amazing weekend at the 48th Annual Northern Lights Festival Boréal, the longest running Canadian music festival, this past weekend! I have been attending NLFB for 9 years now, and might I say, it gets better and better every year. From the amazing food vendors, to the creative artwork and vendors, and of course, the incredible LIVE music all weekend long. You could’ve caught my 2019 Mazda 3 All Wheel Drive (AWD) from Palladino Mazda parked up top all weekend long! On Thursday, DAY ONE of NLFB, I made it just in time to see Pop Machine’s set and was once again blown away by the pure talent they have! With hard classic rock as their passion, these young adults from Lively are well on their way to making a name for themselves. Later this night, I was front row for ZUES and Sam Roberts Band and   was absolutely amazed. Growing up listening to rock music has instilled the passion for being able to listen to Canadian Rock Bands. On Friday, DAY TWO of NLFB, I had the opportunity to listen to the beautiful Jessica Holub and her incredible band. It is so amazing to be able to listen to local bands, and be absolutely blown away by the talent. After a few hours of listening to wonderful sets all evening long, it was time for the headliner, K’NAAN. He came out and immediately rocked the stage with his original breakout hits. The crowd went wild, and everyone’s hands were in the air when “Wavin’ Flag” came on, my personal favourite. On Saturday, DAY THREE of NLFB, I started the day off by getting a perfectly brewed Iced Coffee from Wandering Bean Coffee. After getting the chance to check out all the amazing vendors, I ended up spending my entire paycheque.. Every year, there are more and more vendors that carry amazing products, art, clothing, and so much more. This is one of the many reasons why the Northern Lights Festival Boréal is one of my favourite music festivals. Throughout the day, every stage was packed with performances of folk music to poetry. To finish off a perfect Saturday, headliners Bedouin Soundclash took the stage by 11pm and the night was definitely feeling their song. On Sunday, DAY FOUR of NLFB, I got to check out each stage with amazing performances running from noon until midnight! The sun was shining all day long, and I may have had more ice cream then I deserve… Later this evening, Half Moon Run took the stage to close out the festival and there could not have been a better way to end the 48th annual festival! Can’t wait for what the 49th Annual Northern Lights Festival Boréal will bring!

Thank you Sudbury!
