Both the Laurentian University Administration and the union that represents striking faculty members are talking again, with a new deal on the table.

Faculty Association President, Jim Ketchen says the school offered a deal on Sunday.

Ketchen says they expect to enter a counter offer on Wednesday.

The two sides could not reach a deal last week which led to the strike and a position of uncertainty for the University’s students.

LU’s Chief of Staff Alex Freedman says they are willing to stay at the table until a deal is done.

Strike action happened Thursday last week after the two sides could not agree on a new deal.
