Great story! Kudos to this Toronto Police Officer who bought a shirt and tie for an 18-year old alleged shoplifter who needed the clothes for an upcoming job interview. Officers were called to a Toronto Wal Mart where they found the teen in the custody of the loss prevention officer. But instead of laying charges, Officer Niran Jeyanesan talked to the teen to find out his story…a shirt and tie are pretty unusual things for a teenager to shoplift. It turns out the teen’s family had recently lost their home because their dad had fallen ill. So he needed to step up and help out financially, and needed the clothes for a job interview. The officer let the teen go without charges and then went back to Wal Mart, bought the clothes, and had them delivered to the teen.
