Local NDP supporters chose Jamie West as their candidate for the 2018 provincial election.

The nomination meeting for the Sudbury riding was held tonight at Cambrian College and the local labour council president beat out Beth Mairs to win the nomination.

Carol Mulligan was the third candidate but dropped out and threw her support behind West.

The NDP’s are the first party in the Sudbury riding to pick a candidate.
