Dr. Roberta Bondar Issues Photography Challenge To Northern City's

25 years ago, Dr. Roberta Bondar made history becoming Canada’s first woman and first neurologist in space, but now she is launching a new journey called the Ontario 150 Bondar Challenge.

Bondar spent over two years and says she mortgaged her house to travel the country and photograph Canada’s National Park’s.

Her photo’s are on display at Science North and she is inviting people to take nature photographs of their own.

She wants people to consider what would be important to be here 150 years from now and says it’s never to early to think about your legacy.

Photographs can be submitted with a brief description to her Bondar Challenge website.

The areas taking part are her home town of Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, North Bay, Timmins, Thunder Bay, Kenora and Manitoulin Island.

Each area has their own section of the website where they can view their own submissions.
