A British man dressed in a gorilla costume finished the London Marathon on Saturday after nearly a week of crawling along the route. Tom Harrison–known as “Mr. Gorilla“–completed the marathon in an effort to raise money for the charity The Gorilla Organization, which protects endangered gorillas in their native habitat. UPI reports that Harrison crawled through the streets of London for 10 to 12 hours a day on his hands and knees. He had hoped to raise $2000 for the charity, but after his effort gained attention, Harrison ended up raising more than $33,000.
