The Canada Summer Games Council were in Sudbury taking a last look at facilities before making a choice of who will get the 2021 Canada Summer Games.

It’s down to four communities, Greater Sudbury, Ottawa, Niagara Falls or Kitchener Waterloo.

Bid Committee Chair, Wayne Carew says they were more than impressed with the reception they received in Sudbury.

But he says each city will be enthusiastic and didn’t hint at what area they were leaning towards.

He did say Sudbury is well set up by having a lake right in the middle of the city and says all considered cities have much needed upgrades.

Carew says there is always a plan in place for financing the games so the host city isn’t set up to fail and past cities have been able to attract national events after the games left.

A final announcement will be made March 30th in Toronto.
