A glitch on Facebook caused the social network to label many users, including founder Mark Zuckerberg, as dead over the weekend. ABC reports that roughly two million profiles were affected and caused a memorial banner to appear across the pages of users who were still very much alive. “We hope people who love [Facebook user’s name] will find comfort in the things others share to remember and celebrate [his/ her] life,“ it read. Users took to Twitter to mock the bizarre bug. “Facebook thinks I’m dead, I guess? That’s awkward,“ one tweeted. Facebook has since issued a statement apologizing for the mishap: “For a brief period today, a message meant for memorialized profiles was mistakenly posted to other accounts. This was a terrible error that we have now fixed.“ http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-11-12/facebook-glitch-mistakenly-declares-alive-users-to-be-dead/8020628
