“Wild Thing“ is up for making a return to the mound, if the World Series-bound Cleveland Indians will have him. Charlie Sheen, who portrayed pitcher Ricky “Wild Thing“ Vaughn in the 1989 movie Major League, a fictionalized account of the Indians winning a Major League Baseball title, said he’d be up for throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the real World Series. “Major League continues to be the gift that keeps on giving!“ he wrote on Twitter, underneath a still of him from the movie wearing his trademark glasses. “If called upon, I’d be honored.“ Unfortunately, Cleveland.com reports the Indians are “not entertaining the notion“ of having Sheen on hand for a pitch.
