A number of Sudbury’s homeless population are getting a helping hand and hair cut from a local barber.

Sharon Pollock first approached Samaritan Centre executive director Kevin Serviss with the the idea of providing the free service.

Pollock drops by every Monday between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm to cut hair for free.

Serviss says many of his clients are disabled and don’t have extra money and it definitely helps increase their self worth.

While the service is free, the program could still use donations of shampoo and other products to off-set the costs involved in running it.
