Greater Sudbury is getting ready to show officials with the Canada Games what the city has to offer.

Sudbury is one of four communities bidding to host the games in 2021 and the Technical Review committee will be in town on August 26th to evaluate Sudbury’s bid.

The city’s Major Events Officer Paul Schweyer says during the visit, the committee will be visiting several venues with city officials looking for the residents to come out at 6:45pm at the Northern Water Sports Centre to show that the community has the heart and spirit needed to host the games.

Niagara, Ottawa and a joint bid from Kitchener-Waterloo-Guelph and Cambridge are also going after the games with a decision on who moves on to the next phanes to be made September 9th.

A final decision on a host city will be made next April.
