92.7 ROCK Mid City Motorsports Girls of Summer - July 27-31

We started off our work week with the Nickel City Roller Derby (NCRD) open skate. We started off a little unbalanced, but thankfully we were wearing full protection. By the end of the night we had become professionals at skating, and ended up racing each other for bragging rights.  Alicia walked away from the event saying she may have just found her new favourite hobby. Thursday was spent delivering Quench Coolers from Brown’s Concrete filled with ice cold water bottles and freezies from the Real Canadian Superstore to hardworking construction crews. On Friday we ventured to Boston Pizza to hangout on their patio with some awesome customers. Everyone was super nice, the food looked delicious, and the service was impeccable. On Saturday we spent our day in a dunk tank helping out the Capreol firefighters raise money for their firehall. Alicia was quickly dunked with the first thrower hitting the target, while Cayenne had about a half an hour of hanging out on the platform before she was repeatedly dunked by some future professional baseball players. On Sunday we had a great day in the sun at the Freedom Rally at Mine Mill Camp. The weather was beautiful, the games were fun, and we walked away winners from a very intense Slush Race (check out our Facebook page for the video). We had great giveaways all week long including ballots for a $2500 gift certificate from Northern Lawn Sprinklers, and giveaways from Superior Auto Collision, Dairy Queen, and Rastall Nut & Bolt. Of course we have to give some credit to Mid City Mazda for getting us to and from our events looking absolutely stylish in our brand new 2016 Mazda CX3 Crossover.
