A four car collision on Elgin Street last night has left two in hospital and a 36-year old man with impaired driving charges.

Greater Sudbury Police say around 8 pm a black Infinity was speeding and lost control slamming into the back of a Hyundai Santa Fe causing the Santa Fe to hit a parking meter.

The collision pushed the Santa Fe into two other unoccupied parked cars.

A female driver of the Santa Fe had to be taken hospital with serious injuries, while the 36-year old driver of the Infinity was taken into custody and handed three impaired related charges.

A female passenger in the Infinity was also taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Infinity was taken into custody and given three impaired related charges.

He also breached a court order condition, to abstain from alcohol, from a previous police matter.
