You are still getting mail thanks to Canada Post’s decision to withdraw a threat to lock out 50,000 of its workers.

Canada Post says the move will let both it and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers focus on serious negotiations.

Al McMahon, the president of CUP-W Local 612 in the Sudbury area, says this is the best way to reach an agreement…adding postal workers never wanted a work stoppage.

Neither side had much to say on Sunday about any progress being made in the dispute, with news coming from the federal government that the two sides were back at the negotiating table.
