There’s a storm moving in and it will be here until September 5th.

“Wild Weather” officially opened at Science North, as the 11th travelling exhibit for the science centre brings a highly interactive way of looking at powerful and unpredictable weather that affects communities around the world.

CEO of the Ontario Science Centre, Maurice Bitran says it was time to get the conversation going on the underlying issue, climate change.

Bitran says this is a way to spring board into a climate change discussion without boring those listening.

Science Director, Jennifer Pink says her favourite piece is right at the beginning of the exhibit, an interactive tornado sculpture.

There is also a place to dance up a storm, a research flight into the eye of a hurricane and more.

Developed in partnership with the Ontario Science Centre, Wild Weather will head out on a five year North American tour after it’s time at Science North.
