Lines

By Stew Kernan

It’s becoming an annual ritual of Spring in Greater Sudbury….trying to figure where to drive until the re-painting of the lines on city roads is complete.

The city’s general manger of infrastructure Tony Cecutti says the cold winters and salt and sand make it hard to make the lines last.

He says they have to wait until the sand is removed by street sweepers before they can start painting, but high pedestrian areas like the downtown have already been done.

Ward 5 councillor Bob Kirwan says he’s getting lots of calls from residents who say it’s a safety issue…especially at night.
