Nickel Belt’s M-P-P says the provincial government isn’t doing enough to help create jobs in Northeastern Ontario.

France Gelinas was commenting after it was revealed last week that Sudbury has an unemployment rate of 8.6%, the highest in the province.

Gelinas says one reason for job losses is the high cost of hydro.

She says there are job-creating projects that could get people back to work, but the government is dragging it’s feet.

Gelinas says the Wynn government’s in-action has cost Sudbury 4,000 jobs since March of last year.
