The Sudbury Wolves have added some skill to their blueline.

With the second overall pick in the O-H-L Prioirty Selection the Wolves selected defenseman Owen Lalonde.

Lalonde is 6′, 171 lbs and scored 13 goals and added 24 assists for the Windsor Jr Spitfires.

“The Sudbury Wolves are very proud to select Owen second overall in this year’s draft,” said Sudbury Wolves General Manager Barclay Branch.

“Owen is an elite defenceman and will be a tremendous fit for our hockey club moving forward.”

“I am very honoured to be selected 2nd overall by the Sudbury Wolves,” said Owen Lalonde.

“I am looking forward to a great opportunity in Sudbury.”

Fans will have their first chance to see Lalonde and all of the Wolves 2016 OHL Priority Selections in action at the Sudbury Wolves Orientation Camp on April 23rd and 24th at Countryside Arena.
