The Prime Minister has made it official.

At Tom Davies Square late this afternoon, Justin Trudeau announced that the federal government will be providing $26.7-million, or it’s share of the $80-million Maley Drive Extension project.

The city has put money aside and has a guarantee of $26.7 million from the province, but was waiting for funding from the federal government.

Earlier in the afternoon, Trudeau was involved in round-table discussions with Sudbury M-P Paul Lefebvre, Nickel Belt M-P Marc Serré, Anthony Rota, M-P for Nipissing-Timiskaming, Sudbury M-P-P Glenn Thibeault and Mayor Brian Bigger and city councillors.
