ChamberCommerce

The federal government failed to keep a promise to small businesses…that is one of the main themes the Sudbury and District Chamber of Commerce took away from the federal budget.

Board chair, Karen Houtovenko says they’re disappointed that a reduction to the small business income tax rate is being deferred.

She says it’s good news there will be significant investment  made to infrastructure, but there was no mention of specific infrastructure investment for the Ring of Fire.

It wasn’t all bad news as the Sudbury Chamber was happy to see a commitment to expand of internet services in rural areas and funding to improve the lives of First Nations people.
