A stronger middle class, economic opportunities and clean jobs of tomorrow were some of the promises Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau made during his campaign stop in Sudbury.

Trudeau was at Vale’s Living With Lakes Centre, where he spoke about higher taxes for the wealthy, and says it’s not just a cash grab for the government.

Trudeau also announced the Liberals will be investing 200 million dollars annually to support clean technologies in the forestry, fisheries mining, energy and agricultural sectors, and an additional 100 million to invest in clean technology producers.

When asked, Trudeau did not make a specific promise on Maley Drive, but did say his party would work with municipalities on local issues.

He continues his northern tour with a stop this afternoon in Sault Ste. Marie.
