One-hundred members of the Second Battalion Irish Regiment ((2IrRC) will be inspected by the Mayor of Greater Sudbury tomorrow.

The military reservists will hold a “Freedom of the City” parade starting at 11:45am on Minto Street.

They’ll march to Tom Davies Square, where the members will each be inspected by the Mayor.

Then the parade will continue on to Paris and Brady Streets before ending back at city hall.

The Irish Regiment has been in Sudbury for 50 years.

A “Freedom of the City” parade symbolizes the long-standing and trusting relationship between the military group and the city.

ll members will be in their dress uniforms with swords or rifles with bayonets.
