Briana Fram says her brother would be proud at the work they have done and the 23 recommendations the jury came up with on the final day of the coroner’s inquest into the deaths of Jordan Fram and Jason Chenier.

18 recommendations were directed at the Ministry of Labour and five to Vale, all to improve overall safety and to make sure an incident like this does not happen again.

Manager of Corporate Affairs for Vale, Angie Robson says they look at them immediately.

Fram hopes to see the recommendations in mines sometime soon.

Chair of Health Safety Environment at United Steelworkers Local 6500, Mike Bond was very happy with how the jury handled themselves.

Fram says she is happy this process is over and her and her family can move on with the grieving process.

The recommendations will now be sent off to the Ministry of Labour and Vale, but are not are not guaranteed to stick.
